Holger Rune and Patrick Mouratoglou have once again decided to part ways, marking the end of their latest coaching partnership. This split, while not unprecedented, reflects the complexities of their professional relationship.
Rune, the young Danish tennis star, and Mouratoglou, the seasoned French coach, had a long history together. Rune was a part of Mouratoglou’s Tennis Academy, joining other notable talents like Coco Gauff, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and the Fruhvirtova sisters. Their familiarity and previous connection played a significant role when Rune initially enlisted Mouratoglou’s help. This collaboration proved fruitful, with Rune securing his first ATP Masters 1000 title under Mouratoglou’s guidance.
